NEW DIRECTIONS

I love eyptian art. I think this will be my next tattoo(on my back).
I got to thinking that I did'nt really have a belief system in anything. So, started to surf the web for various alternative religions. The dogma of most religions turn me off.....what with original sin....an angry god that throws hurricanes and such at people and kills them and wreaks havoc.......and general guilt for most everything....so, luckily I came across Spiritual Humanism and Pantheism. These two seem to fit me perfectly. To be here on earth.....to be interconnected with all living beings(including the planet).....that all things share a natural energy that is shared with all just makes sense. Like THEY say....this life is not a dress rehearsal for the next life. Although, I do believe in a dispersal of energy upon our death...that is returned to the general energy pot.....to be distributed in a way that NO ONE knows about. As for the Humanisitic side of it............we must deal with our and the planets problems here and now......praying to some oldman in the clouds is just a waste of time. We must take responsibility for our own actions and how those actions effect our own sorroundings and even the energy fields of this planet. Really, prayer is just positive thinking......and thats what gets things done. Results are not doled out depending on where you go to church or how holy you try to appear to others. Actions do speak louder than words. And, for all you scripture quoters.........take the time you spend on memorizing(and misconstruing) biblical verse and do something to help someone else. Your time will be much better spent.
Thats my sermon for today...........Have a great day today!!!
